The Birdon team attended The Combat Engineer and Combat Logistics 2023 conference in Warsaw, Poland (January 31st – February 2nd).
The conference, attended by over 900 military officers and industry experts from the combat engineering and logistics sector, is the only event of its kind. A critical focus of the event was on the Wet Gap Crossing, an area in which NATO nations have failed to invest during the last 20-30 years and due to the Ukraine conflict has been highlighted as a significant factor in combat effectiveness. This deficiency in nations capabilities is now being prioritised by NATO and non-NATO allies, and Birdon were proud to present their portfolio of bridging and Wet Gap Crossing solutions including the Birdon Bridge Erection Boat (BEB).
Birdon were invited to speak at the conference and discuss their product innovations and developments that are increasing the operational effectiveness of combat engineers around the globe. Martyn Bowden (Birdon Head of Bridging and Propulsion) said “This was a fantastic opportunity for us to get in front of our customer base and present our products, but most importantly engage and collaborate with industry and defense partners. Interoperability within NATO is of the upmost importance as we progress in this new operational landscape and we at Birdon are doing our part to give our customers an unrivaled and bespoke capability while maintaining interoperability between nations.”
